Volunteers
are at the heart of Carers Careline’s aims and services
and right from the moment of the first contact with the organisation
you will be valued and cared for.
We have opportunities for volunteers to become involved with both the overall running of carers careline as a trustee or as direct support to our carers. Those volunteers who support our carers work with vulnerable adults who, together with
their families need the reassurance of knowing that anyone who may be
coming into their homes to provide a service has been thoroughly vetted. To
ensure this new volunteers must be prepared to obtain an enhanced disclosure
from the Criminal Records Bureau and undergo induction and other relevant
training. There is no cost to the volunteer for any of these requirements
other than their time.
So, if you have 2 or 3 hours to spare each
week and think you would enjoy visiting an ill or disabled person for a chat and
a cup of tea or sitting with a loved-one, whilst their carer has a much-needed
break,or if you would like to become involved in the running of the organisation, then why not contact us for more information to help you make
up your mind.
We
would love to hear from you. Thank you.
