About Carers Careline
Carers Careline has been working in the Redditch area since March 1988 and exists to serve the community of Redditch in providing support for informal carers looking after a partner, relative or friend. Since June 2008 Carers Careline has operated it's services for carers under the name of Redditch Carers' Support to re-inforce the local nature of it's work.

Services
Carers Careline provides several support services for informal carers. Our sitting service is provided by volunteers who are fully trained and undergo Criminal Record Bureau checks. They will sit with a loved-one once a week or fortnight whilst their carer has a short break. In addition to this for carers registerd with us, we operate monthly support groups, social events, telephone support, a drop in facility and bereavement support on the loss of a loved-one.

Volunteers
Those who join Carers Careline as volunteers and offer their services are ordinary, caring people who have a desire to help others. They need to enjoy talking to people and have 2/3 hours each week to help make a difference to someones life. Very often they have had experience in caring themselves and are keen to help those facing a similar situation.
